Booking terms
A somatic retreat in Ibiza with Adele-Marie
Villa Monte, Ibiza, Wednesday 13 to Monday 18 October 2027
These are the terms you agree to when you book. I’ve kept them as plain as I can. Please read them before you pay your deposit, and if anything isn’t clear, email me at [email protected] and ask.
With love, Adele-Marie
1. Who you’re booking with
The retreat is run by Adele-Marie Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 14460903 ("we" and "us"). Email: [email protected].
2. What’s included, and what isn’t
Included: five nights at Villa Monte (check in from 4pm on Wednesday 13 October 2027, check out by 10am on Monday 18 October 2027), meals cooked by our private chef, morning meditations, daily yoga (gentle, dynamic and restorative), daily somatic practice, a cacao ceremony and a sound healing.
Not included: flights, airport transfers, travel insurance, anything you book for yourself while you’re there (treatments, trips, meals out) and personal spending.
The price of your place depends on your room, and is the price shown when you book.
3. Booking your place
To hold your room, pay a deposit of £500 per person. Your booking is confirmed, and this agreement begins, when we email you to say we’ve received it. Please check that email (your name, your room, your price) and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
There are 10 places, and rooms go in the order deposits arrive.
4. Paying the balance
The balance is due by Wednesday 18 August 2027, eight weeks before the retreat. You’re welcome to pay in instalments before then: just tell us what suits you. If you book after that date, the full price is due when you book.
We take payment by bank transfer to Adele-Marie Ltd, and the details come with your confirmation.
If the balance hasn’t arrived by the due date, we’ll remind you. If it still hasn’t arrived seven days after the reminder, we may treat your booking as cancelled by you, and section 5 applies.
5. If you need to cancel
Life happens, and we understand. If something changes for you, talk to us first: there may be a way to keep your place, or to pass it on. If you do need to cancel, tell us by email. The day we receive your email is the day that counts.
- More than eight weeks before the retreat (on or before 18 August 2027): we keep your deposit and refund anything else you’ve paid, within 14 days.
- Eight weeks or less before: the full price is payable, because by then we’ve paid for your room and your meals. If we fill your place, we’ll refund what you’ve paid, less your deposit.
- Someone else can take your place. You can pass your booking to a friend at no charge, as long as you tell us at least seven days before the retreat and she accepts these terms. Until she has paid, you remain responsible for anything still owed.
- Moving to a future retreat instead: we’ll always try, but it depends on places and is at our discretion.
We can’t refund flights or anything else you’ve arranged yourself, which is one reason travel insurance matters (section 7).
6. If we need to change or cancel
We’re planning for Permission to Pause to go ahead, and it already has a waiting list. As soon as six places are booked, we’ll email you to say the retreat is confirmed. This section is here so you know exactly where you stand in the rare case that something changes.
- If we have to make a big change before the retreat, such as a different venue or different dates, we’ll tell you as soon as we can. You can accept the change, or cancel and have everything you’ve paid refunded within 14 days.
- If fewer than six people have booked by 18 August 2027, we may cancel the retreat. It’s very unlikely, but if it happens we’ll tell you by that date and refund everything you’ve paid within 14 days.
- If something outside anyone’s control makes the retreat impossible or unsafe (for example a natural disaster, a serious public health emergency, war, or the island’s airport closing), we may cancel, and we’ll refund everything you’ve paid within 14 days.
- In any of these cases we can’t refund flights or other costs you’ve booked yourself, so we suggest flexible flights and good insurance.
- Small changes, like a session moving to another time or another facilitator leading one, can happen. We’ll always let you know.
7. Travel insurance
You need travel insurance for the whole trip, covering medical treatment abroad, cancellation and cutting your trip short. Please bring your policy details with you, and your GHIC or EHIC if you have one.
You’re also responsible for your passport and any other travel documents.
8. Your health, and taking care of yourself
- Before the retreat we’ll ask you to fill in a short health form. Please tell us about any physical or mental health condition, injury, pregnancy, medication or recent treatment that could affect how you take part. It helps us keep you safe, and it stays private (section 11).
- Everything is offered at your own pace. You can sit out anything, at any time, without saying why.
- The retreat is for rest and wellbeing. It isn’t medical or psychological treatment, and it doesn’t replace care from your doctor or therapist. If you’re not sure it’s right for you just now, talk to your doctor, and to us, before you book.
9. Looking after each other
We want everyone to feel safe. If someone’s behaviour puts others at risk or seriously spoils the retreat for them, we may ask them to leave, without a refund. You’re responsible for any damage you cause at the villa. There’s no alcohol at the villa during the retreat.
10. Photos
We never photograph or film you without your yes. You’ll get a separate consent form for photos, and saying no won’t change anything about your place. Sharing circles are never recorded.
11. Your information
We use your details to run your booking and the retreat. We share only what’s needed with the villa and the chef: your name, and any dietary needs or allergies. Your health form is seen only by the people leading the retreat, used only to keep you safe, and deleted within 30 days of the retreat ending. We’ll only send you news and offers if you’ve said yes. Our Privacy Policy is at adele-marie.co.uk/pages/privacy-policy.
12. Our responsibility to you
We’re responsible for providing everything listed in section 2, including the villa and the chef, with reasonable care and skill. We’re not responsible for things you arrange yourself (flights, transfers, trips, treatments or meals out booked separately) or for events outside our control.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit, and nothing in them affects your legal rights.
13. If something isn’t right
Tell us there and then, so we can put it right while you’re with us. If you’re still not happy afterwards, email [email protected] within 28 days of getting home, and we’ll reply within 14 days.
14. The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
