Manifesting
Now this, ladies and gents, is one of my favourite subjects to talk about!
I get super excited about the subject of manifestation, I love the magic of believing that you can create so much in your life, so much joy, so much fulfilment, so much peace, so much connection, love and wonderment to be had, yes, this is YOUR life I am talking about here.
Whoop!
As humans, we are so flipping amazing! We have the potential to be the creator of our own lives. In fact, itâs not that we have the potential, it is what we do, whether we know it or not! That means your destiny really is in your hands! It is so easy to forget what magnificent beings that we really are!
We often get so bogged down by the day to day of life that we forget to live, I mean like really live, with passion, awareness and consciousness. You may find that much of the time youâre not living in the present moment and you are thinking of one million things all at the same time, thatâs when you are missing what is...
Do you want to feel AMAZING? The holistic approach to detoxing and how changing your lifestyle choices will improve physical, mental and emotional health.
Detoxes often get a bad wrap as they can be misconstrued as some kind of unhelpful fad diet, something that may set you off into a yo-yo diet mentality. I am not an advocate for any type of fad diet or quick fix, however detoxing your mind and body holistically by looking into not only diet, but lifestyle choices can help physical, mental and emotional health.
What is holistic detox?
The holistic approach to detox sees us focus on food and drinks that create stress on the internal organs while also ridding toxins that we put into our bodies, our hair, toxic habits, relationships and even silver mercury fillings if you want to go down that path! Basically, anything that can stop us from being our best, most vibrant, energetic, aligned, strong and fabulous self!
The things that I recommend removing from your diet are meat, poultry,...
Now the merriments of Christmas are done and dusted⌠it is time to think about what you want to create for yourself and your life in this coming year!
I love this time of year as I always take time to reflect, plan and think about what it is that I want to create for myself and my life. This always includes some health and fitness goals.
Now of course we like to look great, which makes our health and fitness goals so important. However, I love to feel strong, not just in my body but in my mind too.Â
Without my mindset in its right, powerful and creative place, I know that I would not be able to achieve everything that I want to achieve in the year, this means that I would not be living to my full potential and that would get right on my nerves!
Can you relate?
We are all so very unique yet we are very similar as a species. The mind/body connection means when we take care of our bodies, our minds work better, we have more clarity, we are more efficient and we are more emotionally b...
Listen lovely, if you want to enjoy scoffing mince pies, Christmas cake and all the turkey this year then honestly, fill. your. boots.
There are never any judgments coming from me. In fact, in December I always allow myself to eat what I damn well please (yes thatâs my truth).
It's the month of the year where I feel the heaviest, and that is ok. IÂ always do a detox in January and I am always super strict with myself as I love to set my year up in the healthiest way possible.
That for me is balance.
Your version of balance may be different from nine, and thatâs ok too. However, what I never want you to feel is anxious and stressed out because of the choices that youâve already made, thatâs just a waste of your precious time, especially at a time when you should be enjoying yourself.
I teach my clients to help them to navigate through life with as much ease, fulfilment and joy as possible. Eating food is one of life's pleasures, especially when youâre doing it with people that you l...
Guilt is a funny old emotion (and certainly NOT funny at all), I talk about guilt a lot in my therapeutic coaching practice both with my 1-2-1 clients and my group coaching programmes as its one of those emotions that we all feel at some point in our lives. (FYI being a parent brings it on ten fold, seriously).
Most emotions are there to teach us something, however not guilt, it stands alone with shame as being pretty bloody useless and what I call: totally un-resourceful.Â
This year with the current situation that we see ourselves in, guilt is going to be thrown all over the show as we are having to choose who we do and donât spend xmas with.
Who will be in âthe bubbleâ?
Who will you see and not see?
Will you feel bad if said person comes down with the flu the week after?Â
Will you feel guilty over hugging granny when youâve avoided it all year?
Gosh, as if Christmas is not hard enough we've now got to deal with all kinds of rules and restrictions on top of everything else!
...Financial stress can be incredibly hard and take its toll on us both mentally and physical. Carrying such a heavy burden can also start to impact our relationships with others.Â
What's more, the more you worry about the problem, you may find the worse it gets. As often, when focussed on the negative, we fail to notice opportunities - this is what happens when we focus on lack and negativity, rather than abundance and positivity. If you are familiar with the Law of Attraction, then you'll be well aware of this.
Through the principles of the Law of Attraction we understand that money worries come from a place of feeling like we do not have enough - a 'lack' mindset. If we want to manifest more of something, we must focus on having that very thing we are feeling the lack of. A great phrase to remember is 'what we focus on grows'.Â
So, to manifest more wealth and abundance - we must focus on feelings of having both wealth and abundance (which is really tricky when youâre stressed about ...
December, and Christmas in particular, is a tough time of year for many, and this year seems to be on a whole new level in terms of the challenges that we are being faced with.
Being alone and loneliness are two totally different states of being, and while it is good to be alone - as thatâs how we grow, recharge and connect with our true selves - for many people being alone can too easily turn into loneliness.Â
Loneliness is something that can creep up on us in an unexpected way, like an unwelcome visitor, and make us feel utterly miserable for the entirety of its stay.Â
The weird thing is about loneliness is that you donât have to be alone to feel it. You can be in a room full of people. And the worst is being in a room full of people that are your family or friends and still feeling lonely.
Loneliness is often a state of mind - a mental and emotional state - rather than something physical.
Loneliness, as a short term emotion, can actually be beneficial as it calls us to question...
I spend my whole life talking about beliefs.
The more I get into it, the more I'm intrigued about what people believe and where them beliefs come from. More importantly, what behaviours stem from those very beliefs.
I would say that all behaviours stem from your belief system in one way or another, even down to what you eat, drink and how healthy your lifestyle is.
I wrote about this in my first book: Permanent Weight Loss.
Yep - your beliefs also normally determine your weight too. That may sound bizarre, but it's just the tip of the icebergâŚ
I have followed the work of Bruce Lipton for years and in his book - The Biology Of Belief - he tells us about how it is scientifically proved that each cell in our body changes slightly depending on what we are saying to ourselves.
WOW!
This is where it gets interesting.Â
If every single cell in your body is listening to what you are saying, this means that your truths (another word for your beliefs) are being repeated daily â roughly 60...
This week is anti-bullying week.Â
I want to highlight the correlation between people that get bullied and anxiety.
Over 70% of children experience bullying of some sort during their school years.Â
This can have a devastating impact on the life of the individual, and not just at the time it is happening, but for many years after.
There is a huge link between anxiety and bullying.Â
Bullying in any situation is humiliating, hurtful and can leave a person with deep emotional scars.  Â
Many of my clients who I have treated for anxiety were bullied at some point, either at school or in the workplace, even some in the home.Â
It's no surprise that bullying has a direct impact on a person's self esteem and self worth.Â
If a child is bullied during their imprinting years, it creates or adds to their belief about themselves that they are not good enough. Every client that Iâve ever seen owns some kind of belief that they are not good enough or they are unworthy, or they are unlovable.
